The birthplace of Formula 1®

The Birthplace of Formula 1®

The first-ever Formula 1® World Championship race still carries that heritage: long straights into sweeping, high-speed corners that reward commitment over caution. Maggotts and Becketts is the standout: a rapid sequence of direction changes taken at near-flat-out speed, widely regarded as the most demanding corner complex left on the calendar and the clearest test of a driver's confidence all weekend.

Thrilling days, electric nights

Thrilling Days, Electric Nights

The British Grand Prix is one of the few Formula 1® events where live music is a confirmed part of every evening's programme. Major artists perform on the Silverstone stage across all four days, making it as much a music festival as a motorsport event — with race evenings turning into full concerts for fans who stay on site.

The home crowd

The Home Crowd

With over 480,000 fans during the weekend, the British Grand Prix is one of the most attended sporting events in the United Kingdom. The home crowd brings an intensity specific to Silverstone: passionate support for British drivers, a familiarity with the circuit that goes back generations, and a collective sense of ownership over the race's place in the sport's history.

Getting to Silverstone

Silverstone is accessible from the M1 and M40 motorways. Official race-weekend shuttle buses run from Northampton, Milton Keynes and Coventry train stations throughout the weekend. On-site parking is very limited, so using the official shuttle from local rail stations is strongly recommended.
