The Senna S
Interlagos is carved through the hills of southern São Paulo, with sharp elevation changes that make it technically demanding through every sector. The Senna S — an off-camber double left-right at Turns 1 and 2, named after Ayrton Senna — is the defining sequence of the lap and one of the most celebrated corner combinations in the sport.
The taste of São Paulo
São Paulo has one of the most diverse and celebrated food cultures in South America. Brazilian churrasco, feijoada, coxinha and pastel are staples of the city's street food culture, alongside a restaurant scene that spans every major world cuisine. The Heineken Village fan zone inside the circuit brings food, drink and entertainment to the heart of the race weekend, and the city's neighbourhoods, from Vila Madalena's bars to the Japanese-Brazilian food of Liberdade, offer a full city experience around the race.
The most passionate crowd in motorsport
The Brazilian crowd at Interlagos carries the weight of the country’s motorsport history. Ayrton Senna won here twice; the circuit is named after José Carlos Pace, who won the 1975 race; and the collective grief and pride that Brazilian motorsport embodies is palpable every November. The atmosphere in the grandstands is unlike any other race — vocal, celebratory and intense, regardless of which drivers are contending for the championship.
