La Monumental – The corner that defines MADRING

La Monumental is the centrepiece of the MADRING circuit: a 550-metre banked corner at Turn 12, inclined at 24% — the steepest banking on the current Formula 1® calendar. Inspired by the architecture of traditional Spanish bullrings, it generates extreme lateral g-forces and is designed to be taken at full speed, creating a technically unique challenge. Four grandstands surround the corner from every angle, making it the most anticipated section of the track for spectators.

Authentic Madrid in the fan zones – Tapas, cañas y velocidad

The official MADRING fan zones bring the flavours of Madrid to the heart of the circuit. From street food stalls to menus prepared by renowned chefs, the food offering is rooted in genuine Madrid gastronomic culture: tapas, cañas, jamón, and the kind of relaxed terrace atmosphere the city is known for. Live DJs and entertainment run throughout the weekend across multiple fan zones, reflecting Madrid’s identity as one of Europe’s great nightlife capitals.

Formula 1® returns to the Spanish capital

Madrid last hosted a Formula 1® race in 1981, making MADRING’s debut the return of the sport to the Spanish capital after more than 40 years. The race arrives at a moment of particular significance for Spanish motorsport: Carlos Sainz, who grew up in Madrid, is the circuit’s official ambassador and racing in front of a home crowd for the first time in his career. The energy of the city is built into the event.

The best-connected circuit on the calendar – Acceso directo

MADRING sits within the IFEMA Madrid exhibition complex, adjacent to Madrid-Barajas Airport and directly served by Line 8 of the Madrid Metro. The Feria de Madrid station gives covered, step-free access to the main grandstands, and the journey from the city centre takes approximately 25 minutes by Metro. No parking is available at the circuit — the venue is designed to be reached entirely by public transport, making arrival and departure genuinely straightforward.
